WHAT IS COURAGE?

ORIGINAL POSTER CONTEST

"We must build dikes of courage to hold back the flood of fears." - Martin Luther King, Jr.


All Contest Participants Must Submit:
A Physical or Electronic Copy Of Our
(Middle School)Parental Consent Form

(If you do not have access to a scanner, a careful picture of the completed form could be submitted that way as well.)


Jaffrey and Rindge middle school students are invited to participate in a contest to create a poster for the 2017 Jaffrey Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Commemoration.

The selected poster or an image from the poster will be used to publicize the MLK, Jr. Day Commemoration, and the winning artist will receive a cash prize of $75.

All participants will be recognized and their work exhibited at the Jaffrey Civic Center in January 2017.


Provide Your Art

Posters may be prepared in any medium (pencil, paint, etc., including mixed-media) and orientation (portrait, landscape, square, etc.) and should be no larger than 12"x20".
Write your name and grade on the back of the poster.

Turn your poster in to your art teacher or deliver it directly to the Jaffrey Civic Center.
The winner will be announced on Wednesday, December 14.
Posters should relate to the theme, What Is Courage, in today's world and/or in the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The deadline for poster entries is Friday, December 2.
